Jazzman.....

I consider myself a pretty experienced Diy builder.
A number of arrays, subs.....a OB etc under my belt.
Of course for me they were in kit form....my electronics knowledge is nil.....I rely
on the masters.....they have not let me down.

The other night I read through your site on on those spectacular electros of yours.
After that I feel I'm not qualified to build in legos.....

Congrats on an incredible build.....my hats off.... :o...... :thumb:

Geeze, Perry, you’re making me blush,

Thanks!  Those are some lovely open baffle speakers you’ve built too.

The DIY thing is so rewarding we wish everyone could experience it. That’s
why I decided to do the blogpage. Although there’s ton of DIY ESL info on
the web, much of it is incomprehensible to those like myself who aren’t
adept at electronics and testing. That being the case, my blog is focused
on a very simple ESL that’s relatively easy and inexpensive to build.  The
electronics package, especially, is about as simple and cheap as it gets.

I can’t tell you what I kick I get out of getting an email with photos from
someone who was inspired enough by my project to take the plunge and build
their own electrostats—because I know what the results and the whole
experience will do for them.

For those who don't know, PDR is being very modest as the stuff he builds is very, very nice.  Nice enough to swap his carpentry skills out for a new tube amp, he's that kind of good.
The less said about my woodworking skills the better.  Let's just say I go through a lot of Band Aids and leave it at that.
