Hi,

I am looking at Omega speakers. I do listen to classical music, including complex symphonies. Any ideas if a right combination of Omega speakers with the sub can sound as good as multi driver towers?

From personal experience, the Super Alnico Monitor and the Compact Alnico Monitor do complex music extremely well.  His HO's which I haven't heard would no doubt be a shoe-in too.  The Alnicos present the music with such wonderful texture and layering, and their soundstage is deep and wide with a real sense of the venue the music was recorded in - "you are there" best describes their presentation.  As far as suitable amplification generally goes; SET, SEP, PP, Pure Class A, A/B chip, and Class D do the best.  I say generally, because there are always exceptions to the rule.

The single driver models are great. I am a very happy CAM owner. My guess is that the Alnico HO models might be best as they should provide more scale and dynamic impact. But DEFINITELY talk to Louis about it first. He'll help you make the right choice for your listening preferences and room.

It's all going to depend on what your frame of reference is.  Personally for me, I've only heard a handful of systems that could truly sound good on complex symphonies and it was limited to very large, very expensive complex floor standing units.  If you are a person who typically listens to bookshelf or smaller tower designs then yes, I think compared to those, Alnico designs can do a job satisfactorily.  You'll have to decide for yourself though.
