Black faceplates

Curt & friends,

Are either the MB-100 and/or the Purist available w/ black faceplates?
Also, is there any chance that a Purist purchased now can later be upgraded w/ the remote control slated for the Sabai (I don't need the phono stage)?

Thanks,
jonwb

Hi Jonwb,

Both MB-100s and Purists come standard with black faceplates. And, they are both in stock at Charlotte NC today ready for immediate delivery.

Yes, a Purist could be upgraded to a Sabai. The main PCB and some metal pannels would need to be changed. The Purist , the Audiophile, and Sabai all have the same chassis and power supply. The Main PCB and front & back pannels are different.

Thank you for your interest.

Thanks for the reply Curt... would it be possible to just add remote control to the Purist?  Or, would that addition require the "full" Sabai upgrade?

The main board would need to be changed (many added relays), the front panel (IR window and no volume control switch) would need to be changed, and the rear panel would need to be changed to match the new main board.

Yup, it would wind up being a full Sabai without the phono option. Maybe around $200 (wild guess) plus shipping.
