Congratulations to Andre Dawson, the Hawk, for being elected to the Baseball HOF.  Does he go in as an Expo or a Cub?  I would say Montreal (10 years) but the team no longer exists.  He can't go in as a National, can he?

BTW, David Segui got a vote. :duh:  His wife must have a ballot, right?

Dawson patrolled the outfield in that cavernous "Big O" for so long and so well, Expos get my vote!

Terrible voting by the committee.   :nono:

Leaving off Alomar (almost as automatic as you can get) and still not putting Blyleven in is so wrong.

While I like Dawson, he is borderline HOF player.

This is probably true. I think Alomar will get in soon, a lot of people probably didn't want him to get in on the first ballot because of that incident.

Dawson should go in as an Expo.

Yes, Alomar will be inducted next year, but it is ridiculous that he wasn't this year.

While spitting at the umpire was childish and wrong on every level, it isn't something that should have kept him out.  Heck, Hirschbeck has been saying for years that the issue should be put to rest and Alomar should go into the HOF.

Oh well...

Since I am ranting...they put the wrong Expo in the HOF today.

When are these idiot baseball writers going to take their heads out of their asses and elect Tim Raines?

Raines is one of the top leadoff men in history and was a dominating figure for a good portion of his career.  While he didn't dominate by hitting home runs, he dominated with his speed and hitting.

Need numbers to convince you?
