Title: Headshell needed for a Thorens TD-160
Post by: popthinker on 24 Sep 2019, 10:34 pm
Hi. I'm looking for a Thorens TP-60 headshell for my Thorens TD-160 turntable.

Anyone happen to have one lying around that they'd be willing to part with? Thanks!

I bought an extra headshell for mine on Ebay for $50 so I could swap cartridges.  You might want to check out www.vinylnirvana.com.  They sell Thorens parts and I believe that includes headshells:

Thanks for the advice.

VinylNirvana has one available, but I thought I'd check with my 'local' circle first because some people here don't do vinyl much any more or may have some spare parts lying around.

So what cartridges you use in your T-160 ?
I been using a Shure V-15III in my Thorens  160 for a few years now, rediscovering
   vinyl again...

Hi, Willie!

I now have two: a Pickering XV-15 1200 and a Nagaoka MP-150. The Thorens feeds into a Devialet 250 Expert Pro CI. I use a Shure V-15III on my Dual 1019 in my analog setup. Just getting back into vinyl myself!
