Someone asked what Class D amps someone has owned and could compare the Cherry Maraschino amps to.  In the past I have owned the following:
  • Bel Canto Evo4
  • Bel Canto Evo6
  • Bel Canto S-300
  • CI Audio D-100
  • Nuforce Ref 8
  • Bel Canto M-1000 (with Parts Connexion Level 2 with WBT Silver connectors and wire)
  • EVS M-100 from Ric Shultz
  • Red Dragon M-500

The Inline Maraschino amps beat all of the above amps (from audio memory since I could not do the direct comparison for amps that I long since sold).  The only amps I heard that surpassed the inline Maraschino were .... The Golden Cherry amps.

I really should have bought one of these instead of the "other" class D amp that I just purchased.

You could always look into returning it. Most manufacturers (the reputable ones) will do that within a reasonable time period. If you bought from a B&M, chances are they'll at least give a credit towards something else.

I purchased from a vendor here on audiocircle who doesn't accept cancellations or returns. So unfortunately seems like I'm stuck but had I remembered about DAC before making my rushed decision I would have likely bought one of these amplifiers instead.

You will never regret that decision, especially for SQ. :thumb:

Sorry to hear that. It’s a shame that some people choose to operate their business as such.
