Picked up my 28B's yesterday
« on: 21 Mar 2010, 06:21 pm »
I took delivery of a new pair of 28B-SST2's yesterday.

Got them hooked and playing and I'm very happy with the decision to upgrade from the 14B-SST2.

The spec sheet that came with them lists them both at 1300 watts into 8 ohms.  That's a great bonus over the 1000 watt rating!!

Next upgrade is going to be three dedicated 20 amp circuits to run all of this without choking out my current single 15 amp circuit.

Wayne.

Ditto.  I don't think you'll run short of power output from those amps!!

Feeding them is going to be the bigger problem...

Great System!!

I recently installed two dedicated 20A outlets.  I wish I had installed three!!

The cost of ~$500 was the most cost effective upgrade I have done.

Good Luck.  JohnnyB

Friggin sweet WBimmer! I am truly in envy. I have the 14B SST driving B&W 802D's. How much improvement have you noticed over the 14B?

It's a big improvement over the 14B-SST2 in everyway possible.  The 28B's just do everything with ease and have a very nice easy going nature to them.  I would definetaly say it was worth the money and then some...

The stand is the Sanus EFAB-II in black.  They're a great deal at $125.00 each...

Amp stand is $70 each at Amazon, delivered to your door.  They take at most 10 minutes to build. I have two under my Bryston 7B-SST2's
