Title: Newie question
Post by: ton_ton_ton on 29 Sep 2013, 03:39 pm
Hello everyone,

I'd like to build a fanless Audio PC by using itx MB, haswell i5-4570T CPU and a SSD w/ Streacom FC5 EVO case.
Is the SR5-12 have enough power to boot up my machine?

Thanks for your kindly help!

I have already answered this via e-mail so I am repeating the answer for others viewing the post.

The SR5-12 with a 160VA mains transformer can provide 80W continuous and if fitted with a CAPBANK6 energy storage module can deliver transient power exceeding 400W. It should work well with your Audio PC build as long as you do not add peripherals that draw a lot of power from the motherboard. The SR7EHD-12 would be the better option in this case as it can deliver 120W continuous.
