Just curious,

What do you use, or have tried, behind your V series?

Diffusion? Absorption?....Bare Naked walls?

I have tried all 3 and I have a definite preference, whats yours?

Perry... My answer is yes, yes, yes.
True LF absorbers, devices purposefully constructed with a resonance frequency of 30 or 40Hz, are primary. They don't get attention at AC because they don't fit in conveniently mailable boxes from vendors lurking or contributing here. Throwing compromised trap and reflective absorbers about the room is secondary, with endless "cures". I was bothered by the fact there's little scientifically verified, available to order. You never know how good your secondary treatments work until the primary goal is met. I've admired your builds, if you look hard, I think you'll find your next. Think, heavy construction.

what about a Spatial Black Hole? Would that negate the need for specifically tuned, monstrous traps? Active bass cancellation. Somebody (TONEPUB) needs to try one of those and write a review.

Great thread Perry!

Nothing yet as my Super V aren't finished yet, but my current plan is a huge QRD like yours, covering half the wall, with 4" of OC703 behind that.
