Speaker cabinet maker in Sydney
« on: 22 Jul 2009, 12:25 am »
Hi,
I have a pair of Fostex Fe126e laying around which need enclosure. While I build my own amp, I'm not really into woodworking. Do anybody know any speaker cabinet maker in Sydney?
Maybe I will also get a custom equipment rack build ....

Thanks in advance

Hi Adinoto, welcome to the circle. Hey I am not exactly in Sydney, but close, and my shop has put out a few speakers in its time, maybe I could help.  :thumb:

Hi Mr C,

Mmm now that is interesting...

Can you cnc speakers for Audiocircle members?  I would love to build a centre channel from a diy speaker kit but I have no experience with woodwork.

Regards

Rod

Hi Mr C
Thanks for the offer.
What I'm thinking is Frugel-Horn cabinet, here's the plan :

A bit complicated compare to normal box. This horn is specifically design for the driver

Or maybe I should start with normal reflex box?

I might take the challenge to glue and put together pre-cut woods

Thanks again
Hari

Hi

You could try Aslan Acoustics who manufactures his own speakers but may be happy to design enclosures.  He has just installed a CNC machine as well.

Creation Audio specialises in horn speakers so may be able to do something for you. I have not dealt with Creation Audio before.

Hi, just want to share that recently I bought a fabulous speaker from Aslan Acoustics. I am not sure if they are accepting wood works for enclosures. Although, I believe they have a collection to choose from if you are looking for a speaker's cabinet.
