First off: apologies that i haven't done much research yet, but these are craigslist finds so time is critical.

Are either of these players still considered worth it?  The seller is asking me to make an offer, but i have no clue.  I do know they were expensive when new.

I'll be using it as a transoprt with my DAC.

Thanks!

Keep in mind these are way older players quite good at the time. I had the CAL Icon MKII "Super Boss" or something with the HDCD added. I liked it a lot as a player not tried as a transport. I have seen them go for as high as 350.
The problem is the transports go after some time. Fixable and parts? Not likely (maybe). Any indication of skipping or TC errors at beginning of read run away.
I would not pay anything over 200 each and they better be in VERY nice condition too.
Get a Cambridge CXC Transport it's excellent and new. There was one on Audio Mart used for one week for 375 a good deal since they go for 500.
