Another OPA 1688 Headphone Amp
« on: 12 May 2019, 12:32 pm »
I was asked by a guy in Sweden if I would build him a AGDR OPA 1688 single op amp for his listening....after awhile I said sure and here is what it looks like when I get the parts and start building...the completed unit in the pix is a first prototype that didnt have a muting relay and dual rail shutdown circuitry.

There are single and dual or double op amp version. The single has 75 ma and the double has 150 ma current. More than enough to play my T1's very, very loud.

The fellow in Sweeden finally got his OPA 1688 single channel Altoids Tin amp I built. It works and I am releaved it got to him ok.
Shipping overseas can be costly and tracking also is a pain IMO.

This guy is using Fostex T20RP headphones and its a great match for him.

I still have three pc boards so If I get the itch to solder again I am ready to go!
