Hi James

I understand all to well how hard it is.I had a Lab and a German shorthaird pointer at the same time.Sprockett and Hunter respectively.
It was only tonight i was thinking of them. When I put the pointer down i kept walking in and out of the room in tears. She dies with my hand on her side.I just can't forget such beauty nor do I want to.The last 9 months of her life I had to get up about 25 times a night because of her health.I should have put her down sooner but just couldn't.She was my joy.

I visited Bryston several times over the last few years and became acquainted with Jack, an elderly Jack Russell terrier, who was always sleeping under the desk in an office. Jack passed away last year, I believe (James correct me if needed.)

Tears in my eyes when I heard about his passing, a beautiful photograph of him is on that office wall.

hi, Dave!

yes i do. actually i bought a DIY-kit. the drivers, all parts for the crossover, insulating material and building plan were included. you have to build the cabinets and assemble the crossover. :green:

piece by piece...

the fronts got shape...

...and the milling is done!

the crossovers are implemented into the cabinets already and the high/mid section is separated from the bass so that true biamping is possible if the need arises.

the drivers:

this is the Eton ER4 Air Motion Tweeter

responsible for the midrange is the Eton 5-880/25/5 HEX

and last but not least the Eton 8-472/32/8 with HEAT PIPE Technology

Eton drivers are of high quality- made in Germany.

and these TaraLabs cables are...

soldered DIRECTLY with the crossovers. that way i do not have any signal intruders/interruptors. the cables are barewired connected to the 4B SST's outputs. NO terminals are required!!! 8)

... I LOVE this hobby.

Looking awesome al  :thumb:

How did you shape the fronts of the speaker cabinets? I like the way it makes the fronts "pop" out at you - It really accentuates their dimensions. Have you decided on the finish of the cabinets?

Be well...

Ideally everything should be hardwired.
Looking good.

I was thinking isn't all that gear a bit overkill for those speakers?  But what do I know...
