Cool, I'm sure you are excited but aren't you going to install any baseboard trim  kinda looks unfinished.

Going to install the trim after the room is painted, as the trim will also be painted before installation, no taping required  :thumb:

Sanding between coats recommended - does two things. Removes any rough spots and allows for a great bond for that next coat.

If you use paint like Benjamin Moore AURA line the finish can come out like you sprayed it.   :thumb: Doors and trim in a Satin Finish - Eggshell on walls

What else to do while the paint dries? Start stocking the CD shelf with some of your favourite music  :thumb:

Looking great, Laundrew. You've used the space elegantly and efficiently. The moulding should complement the decor beautifully.

Where will the next set of shelves go?

I was wondering what color the moldings were gonna be . White, light wood, or even black.......

Thank you Rich  :D

The next shelf will go into the spare room's walk-in closet, nothing fancy and hopefully with a storage capacity of at least 2000 CDs (crosses fingers).

Hello WireNut  :D

Same colour as the CD/Book shelfs. The plan is to replicate the same style from the shelves into the crown moulding that will be installed in the main portion of my room.

Thanks turnovertherecord  :D

Could not agree more as this has been a most awesome learning experience and perhaps more importantly, an excuse to purchase new power tools  :thumb:

A Christmas move-in date is on my wish list as I want to have my special "Christmas Tree" in my room for this year - oh please be still, my tender, beating heart  :D

I was a little concerned that the bookshelf would look out of place with the CD shelf (fewer shelves than the CD installation) but am happy with how they compliment each other.

This project is really taking shape.  I am impressed with your skill set and look forward to seeing the completed form - it sure is close now.
