STA9 specs are confusing
« on: 18 Oct 2016, 09:26 pm »
Can someone please explain:

I looked on your specs and I dont understand them.

The STA 9 has a 22 db gain and an input sensitivity of 232 mv which is lower than anything I have ever seen at 120 wpc, given that low input sensitivity and an output of 120 wpc the calculation will give you way more than 30 db in gain not 22 db. 120 wpc in 8 ohms and a gain of 22 db gives you an input sensitivity closer to 2 V or 10 times what is documented.

Can someone please clarify?

Just received the following regarding those specs from tech support:

There is a typo.

The sensitivity is done at 1W not 120W.
And the value should be 132mV, 1W, @ 8ohm.

The gain is correct at 22dB.
