          Hi Guys:
My date lady tells me she sure misses a good Hof Brau.
The ones I went to are closed forever. Any of you Buds
know where there is one in the greater Bay Area?

                                               Cheers

Is she looking mostly for beer or authentic German food?

A good place for beer and limited food selections is Gourmet Haus Staudt in Redwood City.  The address on their website is for the shop.  The entrance for the eating/drinking area is from the parking lot in the back.  Very friendly neighborhood vibe.

Thanks Bob. I'll put this place on our bucket list.

Try Bogey's in South San Francisco, Biergarten in Hayes Valley, SF (outdoor seating only, so could be an issue in winter), City Beer Store on Mission St., SF, or Radhaus in Fort Mason , SF.  Gutes essen!

My sports car group used to meet in Emeryville at, the now closed, European Autos Salvage Yard, aka EASY.(Near Pixar). A couple of blocks away is a basic hof brau that is in the Oaks card Room.  Served my need for hof brau fare for many years.  Not fancy, but has become the "Last Man Standing!".

The Oaks Corner is located at 4099 San Pablo Ave. at Park in Emeryville, CA.

Cheers,
Geary
