Downloading from archive.org w/ tags/metadata?
« on: 9 Feb 2019, 03:57 pm »
Hi all.
Thanks to you all, I discovered all the great music on archive.org. Problem: when I download a concert, I get weird filenames that have no metadata. I want to load them on my NAS and use Logitech Media Server on a Raspbery Pi to serve it up to my system. Is there a process for downloading music that connects with the metadata? I also use MP3Tag.

Thanks!

Don't know anything about that site and their meta data only what can be found via a web search - e.g. https://help.archive.org/hc/en-us/articles/360018818271-Internet-Archive-Metadata

When I buy downloads they are from sites that already have meta data (e.g. HDTracks, Acoustic Sounds, Sound Liasons, etc)

As a whole those are mainly audience member recordings and are what they are.

Did not know that - thanks. If that's the case it looks like MP3 Tag manual tagging would be necessary
