I have been a big fan of DFX, a sound enhancement plug in for MP 3 files for a while now. I just upgraded to version 6.4 for $10. It sounds wonderful. The plug in can be adjusted for user preferences. It used to be that the only effects I liked were limited to couple. They made a HUGE difference, but the others were over done. This new version sounds so much better that only one control ( ambience) sounds overdone. This results on being much more drawn in to the music.
Makes as much difference as a mega buck PC.
I listen to MP3 in my main rig through a HTPC.
