Hi Steve,
Oddly enough, I think fate intervened. For my ears, and two others who I trust with extensive experience of those- unlike almost all forum geeks, the matching you'll achieve will serve you better.

What production issues? Did he have another roo baby?

I am told DV have had a batch of out of spec transformers delivered.

Seems to me if it was the manufacturers fault DV would demand it be sorted pretty quickly but the delays I was given would tend to suggest it may have been DVs fault.

You may have been unlucky Steve my HX100 is singing beautifully with no probs. I don't believe that a NAP500 is a better match with your Versalex xx2 and L300. From my listening experiences I would have thought a 552 would be the best future route now you've gone 500.

I don't have an L300. I have a Nap52. A 552 is def in my thoughts but they are very expensive.

Lol... Rob, please keep up.
I, too, would have gone the total DV route, but he was keeping his Naim pre.

Going totally DV was a possibility until I found I was going to have to wait a year for an HX100.

There is a reasonable possibility that the 500 may not be the last step in this journey but it is still a good step and seriously raises the bar for the next contender.

Steve.
