Nuprime IDA-16 and Qobuz via USB
« on: 6 Mar 2023, 10:50 am »
I wanted to ask if anyone could help with the following.
Dell Laptop Windows 10 (fully updated) to USB output (Audioquest cable) into USB input on amplifier.
Drivers from 12.08 21 were installed from Nuprime site.  (More than once.)
The Qobuz application shows the Nuprime Asio Driver under Internal choices.
But selecting it says "The application does not recognize this device."

The Nuprime device does not show under Control panel Sound settings.
The old directions say it must show there or driver did not install correctly.
Reinstalled more than once.
What else can I try for this solution?  thanks

Can you try the older driver NuPrime_UsbAudio_v5.22.0_2021-10-06_setup.exe ?
If the Nuprime device doesn't show up under Control Panel Sound settings, then you won't have any USB output to the IDA-16.

I think that was it or perhaps it was a mistake a made installing.
It was a bit confusing when it says do you want to exit and reconnect later, yes or no?
So during that step I unplugged and plugged it back in this time and maybe that is what enabled "Nuprime Speakers" to show up under control panel.
This is what I selected for Qobuz and it was able to play music to my system speakers.  thanks
