We lost Merle Haggard today at the age of 79.  I'm not that much into country music but he was a unique talent and performer.

Bummer. Guess there's no stopping time.

I've got some Merle back at the 'ole ranch. I'll have to spin some in his memory.

Saw him live about two years ago and he was great. I'm not much of a country guy either, unless it is the old-school stuff like Hank, Willie and Johnny Cash. RIP to a "real" country sing/songwriter.

Like others here, not much of a country fan with a few exceptions, but RIP, Merle.

2016 continues to be a tough year for musicians.

I'm not interested in country music either, but I saw some videos of Merle Haggard doing imitations of other country stars.  He is hilarious!  The voices are spot on, but he even imitates the mannerisms and guitar playing methods.  Obviously a very talented fellow.
