Linkwitz Orion Tweeter safety.

Hi all
I just picked up a pair of the gen1 Orion’s.  On the LL website somewhere it says there is no protection circuit in the active crossover for the tweeter or downstream so don’t do anything dumb like unhook an rca while everything is on or you’ll likely torch the tweeter.  I was thinking about this last night bc my wife was out and I was listening to an old classical album (London Symphony doing Rachmaninov) hella loud on my Snells and there was an occasional pop here and there from the record.  Is that kind of transient enough to kill a tweeter?  Asking because those seas excel tweeters are like $350 a piece // has anyone ever fried one on a pair of Orion’s?

Not usually, so I wouldn't worry about it.  I might turn it down a bit, but on a noisy record, I'd do that anyway.
