I am going to be in Denver (and Brekcenridge ) next weekend.  Is there anything going on in the city of the arts/culture type?

I lived in Denver (actually Littleton) as a kid, but I haven't done more than drive through in several years.  I won't have a car in the city, so how's the transit now?  I have heard the new light rail is slick and the busses are decent.  Where does this sky rail thingy go?

The art museum has a pretty cool showing of some interesting art.  The Renior they have on display is pretty stunning.  Expensive, but worth it just for that one painting.  There were some other cool paintings there too, but that was the highlight for me.

I'll second the art museum suggestion - it promises to be a great show, but I haven't seen it yet (I'm a member, so I'm sure I'll see it at least once before it leaves).

Went to the Art museum with Tyson and I have to disagree, the Renoir was unnaturally pink and vibrant. I did enjoy most everything else they had displayed minus the Monet's
