Coming soon from Roberts Acoustics is a new speaker series featuring some of the highest quality drivers and crossover components available, and engineered by the renowned Rick Craig of Selah Audio.

The first release will be a reference monitor featuring the Scan Speak AirCirc tweeter and Accuton 7" ceramic woofer found in many current high-end designs.  In addition it will offer Mundorf capacitors including the incredible silver/oil for the tweeter circuit, copper foil inductors, and Mills resistors.  It has a sleek high quality cabinet with minimum panel thickness of 1", with premium automotive paint finishes standard.

Following shortly behind the monitors will be a matching subwoofer featuring extension to 20 hz and excellent integration with the monitors via a custom electronic crossover module.  The subwoofer will also have a high quality Hypex amplifier housed in a small cabinet identical to the crossover cabinet meaning you can now position your sub anywhere you like, not just near an outlet like you would with a cheap plate amp!

Perhaps the biggest difference in these speakers however will be the cost of admission...I am a music lover just like all of you, and reference caliber performance is no longer out of reach.  Pricing will be announced soon, stay tuned for more info and pictures in the coming weeks. We will also be offering packages with electronics and cables to offer even more value.

Please feel free to leave your comments or questions in this thread, or contact me directly.

Best Regards,

Sam Roberts

Very sharp looking!  I love the curved cabinets.

Progress Update:

Crossovers are being built and cabinet construction has just begun as I type so the on-sale date is near!

More crossover details:
Crossovers were assembled on 1/8" black acrylic and are damped by sorbothane pads to reduce harmful vibration, not glued or screwed directly to the cabinet like most other speakers.

Components are reference caliber, Goertz copper foil inductors for both the high and low circuits, Mundorf Supreme capacitor for the woofer, Mundorf Silver/Oil for the tweeter circuit, Mills resistors on both circuits.

Crossover components are secured with nylon zip ties and double sided adhesive foam (no nasty glues on the exotic Mundorf Silver/Oil capacitors!)

Wired with high silver content solder and 14 Gauge OFCC wiring....

Sorry to those who have inquired, we still haven't made these available for retail yet .... however this has been to ensure the finished product looks and sounds as good as possible.

Assembly is underway for the first production run and we will have a pre-order link on our site very soon.  We will also be showing this year at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest, and will have the matching sub and possibly other surprises ready by then as well so stay tuned.

If you are in the Denver area and would like to hear the prototypes or any of our products please contact us to set up an appointment.
