Out of Houston 1-1, not a bad deal.  Wheeler got toasted in the first inning, three doubles in the first four pitches, wow.  They played pretty even after that, but no six run comeback last night.

Phillies put the hammer down in game 3. Eagles kick butt once more. Eagles in Houston Thursday. Going to be quite a night with both Eagles and Phillies on at same time Thursday.

Harper found a tell on McCullers.  They knew when the change up was coming and sat on it.  A home run festival.

Only in Philly!

Hey Jersey boi, not our fault you never got out of the Pinelands.  😅

It's not like they were turned away at the door, it was a call in for delivery, so the person taking the order knew it was for the Astros.

Maybe he should have served them, they'd have been weighed down from the pizza and wouldn't have had that one big inning.

Back to Houston for game 6 on Sat. It’s a tall order for the Phightins but hey they didn’t get there by laying down!
The bats have been a little cold lately hope to get them hot again!

Go Phillies!

Have to figure out how to collect on my Vegas Sports book ticket…

Bought middle of August when I was in Vegas… pays $450 for $100 bet…

Also bet the Texans to win Super Bowl… that pays $50,100 for $100… not bloody likely though…

So you could watch the thirty second highlight of the home run and see the entire game.  The vaunted Philly bats disappeared for the last three games.  Congrats to the Astros, their pitching came through as expected.

Yes a tough night for us Phans. The Phil’s fought hard and got beat by the best. The Houston shut down bullpen lived up to expectations.

Congrats to the Astros and their fans!

Go Iggles!!

Take solace in the fact that the Philly's were the only team this year to hang a loss on the Astros in the playoffs, and they did it twice. :dunno:

Exactly JC, would any of us have picked the Phillys to be in the Series at the beginning of the year?  At the All Star break?  They had a great season.

Leritroll:
The Phillies this year kinda reminded me of the 2007 Rockies. Pedestrian sort of regular season, but got hot late, and stayed hot all the way to the WS. Absolute blast to watch. I don't think the Phillies were on anybodies radar at anytime until very late in the season.

For sure, although the 'chemistry change' started to take place after Rob Thomson took over the reins. When was the last time a manager took over mid-season a team with a losing record and put them in the WS ?

That is a good question twitch, and I don't know the answer. Inheriting a bad club mid season and pushing all the right buttons to get to the dance is very impressive. I hope Thomson gets serious consideration so the interim tag can be removed.

JC, he already has, named Manager with a 2 year deal during the Atlanta series
