What was playing?  Familiar music that sounded especially good or bad?
Any new music that caught your ear?

I am bumping this thread up.  I think it is a great topic and hope for more responses.  Surely someone played something you had not heard before and you had to sit up an take notice. C'mon, I need some new tunes.  :banana piano:

Gabriella y Rodrigo:  Stairway to Heaven

Sounded very good in a room that I cannot remember.

Jen Chapin - You haven't done nothin'

Did anyone get that Yello song in the Vandersteen room they demoed with?  Can't find it on the stated "2007" album.

I heard several songs from Blue Coast Records in at least 6 or 7 rooms.  Acoustic stuff, superbly performed and recorded.  In fact, in one room (forget which) I was sitting next to Cookie Morenco.  She is the producer and founder of Blue Coast, and was playing parts of a cd that isn't out yet.  Part of the reason I attend RMAF is to hear new music, and BCR was the real gem this year.

the best was (don't remember the room sorry) someone pulling out a jazz album, cueing up a song, and me going "hey, what is this i know this". then the lyrics start: "sunny day, sweeping the clouds away"

We played that in our room: Neko Audio + AudioKinesis + Atma-Sphere. Perhaps that was the one you remembered? Duke had brought it on CD and I ripped it onto my MacBook as Apple Lossless.

Very possible it was your room as I did stop by.  Only caught the last part of the song, but was easy to recognize even with the spanish highlights.

Will have to find that disc!  Thanks for the introduction to that version. It did sound very good!

I was able to run through Madder by Groove Armada once. :)

Some music that I was asked by visitors about how to get were:
Faye Wong - Eyes On Me
Nobou Uematsu - Dancing Mad (Distant Worlds II orchestral version)

I also got positive comments playing:
Joe Hisaishi - The Demon God
Julianne - Love Will Light The Way,
Suzanne Vega - Tom's Diner

Duke played Simon & Garfunkel live in Central Park that had me totally absorbed.  I mentioned what I heard in the Audiokinesis/Neko room here: http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=86946.msg850777#msg850777

Any chance it was the Tom's Diner remix as done by DNA?  I heard the S&G recording at LSAF with the Prisms and was very pleased.

Clearly you didn't hear me playing TOOL at loud volumes in most rooms, or Jason playing Llama from MA.
