Steve, even at pallet rates I can't see that it makes sense to ship empty boxes.

Most likely correct.  1500 dollars or more.. It would be cheaper for me to fly over and build them for a bunch of people instead. Steven, do you have an extra room.   It was a thought, I don't fedex large items out side fo the country much.  .. Have a great day John....

Flat packs, on the other hand, would be a different story... :) Thing is, surface shipping is done by volume not weight.

I prefer "accidents" anyways.  Axes are messy and leave a trail of soft tissue.  Guns, ok, Large nuclear weapons on unintended small countries, so be it..  Heyyyyyy.. Everyone have a great Wednesday and Good 1:175 million luck if you are a gambler tonight..

Any chance you'd be willing to build two downward firing 12" boxes based on Rythmik's design?  Wouldn't have to be done before Christmas.  I'd buy two of the ones you already made, but I need downward firing due to my small child.

makdoogle---just buy two of the boxes, ask for the amp cut-outs on a side rather than the back, and put some 3" feet on the baffle with the drivers!

Wouldn't cutting the amp into the side affect the bracing though?

Yes and no. I would just add blocks between braces and the back and front are already 1.5 inches thick.  It worked out this way prior.  Danny, maybe you can comment.

On that design it looks like there is a space in the bracing for the amp.

Danny.  Just the regular 12 design.  Not the one above.  That was just an example

Oh, okay. I just read the rest of the above comments.

Yeah, you can cut through the braces. The brace is there to support panel and keep it from resonating. If you remove a section of the panel then it no longer needs a brace to support it.
