Howdy,

A quick note about the thread to use for making current generation WTL belts. I've found that the Coats Transparent (nylon) works even better and lasts longer than the previously suggested Coats Transparent (poly).

The spool label looks Like:



Curiously, I have only been able to find this thread at Walmart stores. Nowhere else (so far). it comes in clear or black.

I happen to have some of this, it does last a lot longer and seems to provide a bit better control of platter for consistent speed, resulting in better pace/timing.
The nylon thread is 0.005", the prior poly thread if I remember correctly was 0.004" (could be wrong, I can't find my old spool to look it up). Product number for the transparent nylon thread is AD67 size/color 5/0000C for clear, UPC on my spool is 0 73650 875670 but this may have changed over time.
