Awesome, I asked Mr. Vandersteen about this quite a few years ago and he didn't think it was a good idea at the time. 

Of course my 2Wq's will be too old to do the update and will have to purchase the newer version.

any updates on this?  does the old 2Wq only function with one of the high pass filters?  and can these be purchased separately from the subwoofers themselves?
