Title: Wellborne Labs room at RMAF 2005

Did anyone get a chance to listen to this room?

What were your thoughts?

I'm particulary interested in the Ultrapath pre-amp he had.

I stopped in briefly on Sunday. It wasn't really focused to be an audition, but I thought the setup sounded really good.  I wasn't familiar with any of the equipment, so I can't even begin to break down who was doing what. My initial reaction was that the C.A.R speakers were amazing, but when Ron pointed out that they were using multi-kilobuck TAD drivers, that wasn't much of a surprise.
 The pre looked pretty slick, for sure though.

One of the best sounds at RMAF IMO.  I took my reference disk in and Ron spun it.  Very nice indeed.  Focus, imaging and dynamics all very good.

What all was in the room?
