One who took part in a seminal jazz event and as part of that great group has left us. Rest in peace Joe.

I saw Dave Brubeck in Philly a few years ago. Even without Morello, Desmond, and Gene Wright those great tunes came through like they were written yesterday. It's fortunate for us Joe and musicians like him have left us such awesome works before their passing.

Always liked Mr. Morello's drumming.  He was very creative.  One of my favorite Brubeck recording is Live at the '58 Newport Jazz Festival".  Brubeck's quartet played a set dedicated to Duke Ellington and Mr. Morello did some fine drumming on "Liberian Dance Suite No. 3".

What an amazing drummer. I've never heard another that was anything like him. R.I.P.

Just saw this.  Did not know he was gone.  I remember reading the newspaper in my HS library, when I came across the notice of Paul Desmond's passing.  Had to turn my head so people wouldn't see me cry.  Here we go again.
