Post a picture that says more about sports 'badassery' than mere words can describe.

I'll start.

5 weeks after winning a 100 mile ultra trail race, Courtney Dauwalter won the Moab 240 ultra (238 miles, 29465 feet of elevation) in 57 hours 55 minutes. She beat the second place finisher by 10 hours and 20 miles. They didn’t wait to do the award ceremony.

Eddy Plankaert, Guido van Calster, and Bernaud Hinault sprinting in Stage 12 of the '81 Tour de France. One the greatest cycling photos ever IMO.

Just one of many athletic badassery examples by Bruce Lee. This one is single armed, 2 finger, push ups. Enjoy!

Sam Hill - Champery World Cup downhill race in 2007. Steepest downhill mountain bike course ever raced and most people couldn't get down without several crashes let alone fast and smooth on a good run. Half way through the finals the weather turned from sunshine and dry dirt to an absolute downpour and pure slime mud. Once the rain started, there was no chance for racers to get down without crashing. Sam Hill absolutely smashed it coming down that course like it was just another Sunday afternoon practice ride. Off camera he did crash sliding out completely separating from his bike, ran back up the hill to grab his bike, and continued down to finish 3rd by 1.6 seconds. Hardly anyone in the bike racing world remembers it was Matti Lehikoinen that won the race, but everyone remembers Sam's run.

This Vince Carter dunk (The Dunk of Death) during the 2000 Olympics over the 7' 2" opponent gets me every single time I see a video or pictures of it. Juuuuuust naaaaasty. Arguably the single most aggressive play in all of basketball history. :o

Niki Lauda definitely deserves a spot in this series of photos.

No summary of sports Baddasses would be complete without a nod to Aleksandr Karelin, the greatest Greco Roman heavyweight of all time:
