Hello Vinnie,
Spotted a comment over on Audiogon....I got a kick out of it...thought I'd share..... [/list:u]

If you like the liquidity of triodes, you need to check out the ClariT. Think of it as a tough inner-city SET, wearing leather, but obviously in touch with its female side.

"in touch with its female side..."  does not assume it to be a female amp.  :nono:

This is a metrosexual amp of indeterminate sex, but likely male. A fashionably androgenous NYC amplifier.

It likes The Flecktones AND Mozart.

Dude! - You're describing that quitessential SoCal amp, not a NYC amp. Not that a SLA powered 2024 isn't just lovely...... its just that that level of anthromorphisation really creeps me out.

    Occam,

sorry to learn of your being humor-challenged. God bless the rigid.

.... It was the Lou Reed Transformer thing that got me going. Tell me THAT isn't NYC. ...Or maybe a vision of David Johansen and the New York Dolls. Androgenous enough???? "Take a walk on the wild side" and buy one of these amps.

Oh and by the way, careful wit dem words wit Latin in em.

"anthro-PO-morphism"    -but I digress. Sorry for my obsequiousness.

I thought the reference to Vincent 'mono mania' Gallo, was quite humerous and I assumed you'd get it as you seemed so familiar with the NY scene.

Yes indeed. You really do owe it to yourself to go see Brown Bunny.

Terribly sorry and thanks for the correction.... we all have to work with our specific leaning disabilities.
Obsequiousness? I don't understand what you mean.....

Sorry, not familiar with Vincent Gallo, so no references there. Nor am I qualified to have assimilated into any SoCal "kulture."Clue: Brown Bunnies where I come from are known as "cottontails."

What I DO know about is the sound of Real Music, and real instruments, hence my interest in this circle. I'll buy you an amp just to bury the hatchet. In your pointy head.

From what I understand, if the music you like is creepy, then you will be creeped out like never before.  Whatever the music you like does for you, it's always better with C-L-A-R-I-T-Y.  Certainly any music loving audio junkie knows that.

You can try the amp risk free in your home for 30 days.  What are you waiting for?
