Rockadanny, you been getting after it, son, I must say. Keep it up. Just for fun, here are two jazz CD's from Mapleshade. If you don't know about Mapleshade and their commitment to uncompressed and clean sound, you're in for a treat:

Davetik- Can't locate the cover just now for the title but it has something to do with Russia;
Sound Roots- Andy McKee and NEXT.

Here is a closed miked, intimate and pure sounding young jazz singer with nice song selections . . May I Come In- Gail Pettis (OA2 Records). And another that is a blast from the past and a great recording, Sahib Shihab and The Danish Jazz Group (Octav).

Get on with your bad self. BTW, I have Evan's Sunday at The Village Vanguard and enjoy it to this day.

Hi Jim - Actually, I listen mostly to jazz. Just don't post very often.

Agree - this one really is a great recording.

Thank you for the recommendations - always looking for good (to my ears) jazz. I will check the Mapleshades out.

Yo Jim,
I do not prefer one over the other. Both wonderful IMO. The newer release, Faithful, some of the tracks are more propulsive than those on January. And I find the CD overall flows with more ease. I'd easily recommend getting Faithful.
