I'm telling ya'll, if you are a jazz fan, you owe it to yourself to jump on this like a duck on a bug:

He plays Monk's Misterioso solo with such tribute and invention. His ballad playing pure delight. The uptempo tunes burn their fool head off and one in particular will singe your eyebrows OFF! Get there or be square! I mean it. Couldn't be more serious. It is GOOD!! It's a quintet this time out with Cecil McBee on bass with ALL the players givin it UP!

Mark Murphy- Satisfaction Guaranteed (Muse). Killer album. A JAZZ vocalist perhaps more than any other. Kurt Elling so ripped off Mark Murphy, but he doesn't have the feel and finesse of this great. MM has another release on Muse also with great players and arrangements.

These three are 192/24 2ch only DVDA's and are superbly remastered 60's sessions and IMHO, up to now, are the definitive releases of these sessions. I have these in so many formats its a sick joke.

No - it's a reissue. Looks like a good Blue Note label till you realize the 'deep groove' is to close to spindle hole, and the address is 304 park Ave South, NYC.

304 Park Ave is where BN reissues are pressed by Scorpio Music, the quality can be 'iffy'.
