Still up in the air. the audiomods arm that was the frontrunner turned out to be fairly poor condition and a series 4. On the other hand I have tracked down a Kuzma Stogi and an Audiomods series V and am waiting to hear back and get pictures.
Anyone have opinions on the Stogi? Or what is a better choice between a series 5/wo VTA vs a series 4 w/VTA?
Kuzma arms are great. Kindof stodgy and not much to look at, but great engineering, well built, and sound fantastic. I have owned Stogi Reference, Stogi "s" and auditioned a regular Stogi (local friend owns it). Both the Stogi and Stogi Ref are fantastic on the Rock. The "s" is a unipivot, so I used it on a different table.
Only reason I no longer have my Stogi Reference is it got lost in the mail going back to factory for a rewire. Poof, vanished without a trace. A complete loss.
If you check my previous posts (in this thread, and in your other WTB thread, and other threads) you will find my positive Kuzma comments. Not gonna go into audio dweeb detailed speak about the sound other than to say they are stellar w/ every cartridge I tried, are very easy to setup and use, and offer all adjustments including azimuth.
No experience w/ audiomods, so I can't comment on it or offer comparo to Kuzma.
If you decide against the Stogi, please put me onto the seller. They are rare on the used market and I'd likely buy it at the right price and condition.
Thanks...
John
