Price is $200.  I am expecting them in a couple of weeks. We had an unexpected delay in final production, hence the two week delay.  I don't have a good photo yet, but will post it when I do.

It is of similar shape as the stock, but slightly larger overall and machined from solid billet.  It fits the hand nicely, has the same functions and looks very nice.

The metal remote is great.  It was a must-have.

I don't mean to be confrontational -- I'm just genuinely curious.  I thought the metal remote has the same functions as the standard remote.  What makes it a must have?

Just the coolness factor.  Obviously one can enjoy the LS-100 with the plastic remote.  However, once I had it in my hand at the RMAF I had to buy it.

If one uses a factory remote, a metal one is much nicer to use both look and feel (not to mention generally more durable).  I use Harmony remotes but have had and do have a component with a metal remote and it is definitely much cooler.  Wish they would make a nice metal universal that I liked that wasn't too expensive (like over $500).

Dan will answer I'm sure.  I do have the plastic version of the remote with my LS36.5, although I use a Harmony One universal.  I'm not sure if it was programmed special for the LS36.5 but it did work.  It did have a problem when I hit the 'Bal' button as I recall (I had just gotten the LS36.5 about 11 months back and was wondering why it had a selection for the balanced input which it was not) and the LS36.5 did a series of loud pops and shut off.

Wow, REALLY late reply to this...sorry guys!

Metal remote will work with: LS 100, KWI 200, LS 36.5, LS 36.5 'DM' and SWL 9.0SE, unless it currently uses the VERY original 'One For All' universal remote.
