Introducing Myself
« on: 16 Jan 2024, 07:15 pm »
Greetings!  Just discovered this site today.  I have been into audio for close to 50 years, since I bough my first Sansui receiver  and Technics turntable in 1976.  48 years and thousands of dollars later, still enjoy listening to well recorded music.  (And occasionally bad recording too....)  Over the years I have done horn speakers, planar speakers, huge tower speakers, monitor speakers, subwoofers etc.  Powered by solid amps, mono block amps, tube amps.  To many preamps to list.  I still listen to CD's and am just now starting a transition to streaming.  What a learning curve!  I'm eternally thankful for a wife who has indulged this crazy hobby.  Looking forward to learning more here.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Welcome!

Learning curve for streaming, YES!  But once you're over it, ideal for older folks like us.
