Title: ACA LS-9's and getting ready for EA dspNexus 2x8 upgrade
Post by: HAL on 27 Sep 2023, 02:29 pm
One of the systems that ACA built were GR-Research LS-9's.

One of the AC members Forest Dweller purchased a pair of the ACA LS-9's with the internal passive crossovers and then asked for a dspMusik 2x8 DSP crossover for replacement.  Sean did the passive crossover removal and connector install needed to make them 2-way biamp compatible.  They were modified at his place.

He is getting ready to try the EA dspNexus 2x8 system to replace his dspMusik 2x8.  Have sent him the block diagram to use when he is ready to try the system.  As part of the update will most likely be building him a fanless Intel NUC machine with all the software needed to use with the dspNexus 2x8.

Here is his system with the present dspMusik 2x8 running the DSP crossover and HiRez ADC and DAC's.

Hey that looks familiar. I'm interested in what Chris thinks of this. I know he was excited about it before the EA program was rolled out. Sounds like he's going to have some fun.

Chris was one of the earliest user's of the dspMusik 2x8 system.

It was a fun project and more fun in the future.   :D
