SOLD SOLD SOLDSelling minty Gustard DAC-X20 with USB. The unit is in pristine condition. I am the original owner and have had the unit for a couple of months.
Pics will be posted later today.
see below postAsking $770 + shipping + PP fees (will be shipped fully insured via FedEx)The DAC resides in NEOhio, 44233. Local pickup is welcome.
PLEASE NOTE: I have performed some of Ric Schultz's Level One Mods to this DAC.
1. Bypassed the fuse with copper foil (This can easily be reversed by taking off the copper foil from the fuse)
2. Removed the hardware from the transformers and raised the transformers off the chassis using doubled up carboard donuts. I then used nylon nuts and bolts without much tension to hold them in place.
3. Removed the heatshrink tubing from the AC wires then I twisted all AC wires tightly (both into and out of both tranformers and between front and back boards).
4. Removed the input AC filter.
5. Removed the 5 AC connectors inside the unit by desoldering and removing the circuit board mounted to the AC inlet.
6. Removed the power switch. You turn on the unit by connecting the Power Cord.
I am not going to reverse these mods. Why would you want this anyway...
Reason for sale (as someone is bound to ask...) I want to get to 512 DSD and am not willing to do the necessary mods to the Gustard to accomplish this.
