230. V integrated

I’m asking here because there always seems to be a lot of knowledgeable people on here including Danny.
If you get a integrated from Japan that uses 230 , is a step up transformer the only way to get it to work and if you use a step up transformer does it affect the performance

A properly sized step up transformer would be fine. I nice transformer will likely be large and may add quite a bit to your set up cost.

It may also be possible for a shop to rewire the internal transformer or power supply for 120v some times it’s just a couple of dip switch’s, moving a fuse or two, etc..  Manufacturers that sell to multiple countries sometimes have options inside the case. Best left to a knowledgeable tech with a schematic..

Hope it works out for you.

Some Japanese gear has a 100VAC@60Hz AC power capability.  That would be more prevalent than 230VAC@50Hz.  That is more typically UK/EU AC power.

Is there a chassis switch for selecting different AC voltages?
