Dude, music isn't dying. If anything, there are too many good bands. NR and the Nightsweats is good, as are (to name a few) Of Monsters and Men, Madeleine Peyroux, Pistol Annies (country), Panic! At the Disco (pop), The Revivalists, Brothers Osborne (try Port Saint Joe), Ashley Monroe (try Sparrow), The Steeldrivers, DOROTHY, the soundtrack to The Greatest Showman, Chris Stapleton, Imagine Dragons, Ed Sheeran, Poky LaFarge, and if you like soundtracks, the soundtrack to Hamilton ....
What I usually find is people who think music is dead have a very narrow definition of "music". A former friend thought there was no good music anymore, but all he liked was certain blues and some jazz. I rattled off a ton of other types of music, and he didn't like any of those. Of course music is dying if you have a very limited idea of "music".
