Media Monkey Driver
« on: 1 May 2009, 04:19 am »
From time to time over the past few months I have toyed with MediaMonkey as a player. An annoying feature I had not previously been able to rectify was that it would  always go from playing the end of one track directly,  and without pause to playing the beginning of the next. This is especially maddening with  classical music. Finally deciding that enough was enough I got "down in the weeds" and found a configuration area of the output plugins where I was able to correct this. To my amazement I noticed a list of drivers that contained one labeled "Empirical 1.1". What is known of this?

Empirical 1.1 is the device ID for the Empirical Audio USB interface.  Also called Overdrive USB by CEntrance.

BTW, here is a new player that is supposed to be very good, have not tried it yet myself:

Peak Pro
