Carver ZR1000 help needed
« on: 20 Sep 2019, 10:57 pm »
Hello,

Does anybody know if the transformer can be rewired for 230V operation?

What model Tripath module/chip was used in this amp?

Thank you!

If the transformer are non encapsulated it can be rewired by a experienced tech using the same core.

Please correct me if I am wrong but this transformer can be rewired for 234V operation.

Actually I think it even says if I plug it to P104 socket, it will act
like 234V, correct? I just need to replace the fuse with 6A.

And it is TA0104A module.

I found this right after I opened this subject here.

Yes you can rewind a primary to 230V used in Euro zone if the core is uncapsulated or even the secondary, I have not located the detail you mentioned sorry, it a big PDF.

OBS.: Ok just found it with another browser, This schematic transformer show two primary 117V each to be used with bi-phase 117V + 117V mains outputing 234V at secondary.
It dont grant your amp was assembled this way it must be checked in loco and tested. You must have 4 wires at the input transformer Brown, White, Black, Blue.
