This is one of the best bang-for-the-buck streamers with the ability to stream wirelessly from your router. The supplied wall wart is noisy and the sound quality can be vastly improved by using a linear power supply. This is where the Channel Islands power supply comes in. The design utilizes a low noise/high current transformer, with discrete Schottky diode bridge rectifier, AC line filter, precision voltage regulator circuit, and 13,600uF of filter capacitance to dramatically improve the sound.
