My entries, Roy Orbison. One of the best rock and roll, rockabilly, c&w vocalists ever IMHO. Also Amy Lee of Evanescence, and no one mentioned Eva Cassidy?! What about Amanda McBroom?

Lyn has a wonderful voice. With Soyou and DinDin. Reminds me of the rat pack with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. It's party time, click subtitle.

Incredible, another Justin Bieber.

Vocal gymnastics are boring. It's not unusual to be born with a sonorous voice and receive adequate training to use it.
What's rare is the ability to use your voice to really communicate. Bob Dylan could communicate with his voice. He would never have won one of these TV singing competitions. The competitions are looking for vehicles who can wow the masses with vocal gymnastics while belting out innocuous pablum.
-
Pablum innoculum sounds like the title of a Tool song
-
Singers voices that I think are outstanding are, Morissette Amon, Marcelito Pomoy, Adam Lambert, Dimash Kudibergen the Righteous Brothers Unchained Melody, Karen Carpenter. I think that Ashly Williams has an outstanding voice, but her emotion is what got me during her 2013 X Factor audition.
