Title: Seeking thoughts on replacing Unico with PP120 amps and ??
Post by: Jonathan on 2 Jan 2004, 05:35 pm
Hi, Bryston guys:

I have an opportunity to trade my Unico integrated for a pair of Bryston PP120s and a bit of cash that I'll supplement to get into a (tubed) preamp in the $650 range (probably used).  My speakers are Ref 3a De Capos.
Any thoughts about this plan? Also, any ideas for a good preamp to match the amps with? I'd prefer something with a phono pre.

Thanks,

Jon

I can recommend a Rogue 66 preamp for your Bryston amps. You should be able to find a used one with Phono in your price range. Can't speake to the Unico / Bryston swap. Maybe before you make the jump you could post a thread at the Reference 3a board below...
