I'm currently sitting about 35dB with the dogs sleeping, 50+ when they're running around like idiots.

Too funny.  We have 4 Dachshunds.  They do sleep a lot so no trouble then.  But, when they get in "high play" mode ... noise floor goes through the roof.

Just for comparison, my wife measured the noise floor in my honda crv at 65 mph (while I drove). 76-78 db. Makes me glad for my quiet living room

6:00am, quiet house, AC off - 33 dB using iPhone app, but not sure how to capture tinnitus in that measurement.

25db on one app and 12-20db using another on an early Saturday morning.

What weighting was used for the levels. I would question the accuracy of the 12-20db reading unless your listening in an anechoic chamber. The 25db is stretching it as well.

I took this screenshot at 3pm today, AC was off. If I set the phone down and hold my breath it'll drop down as low as 26.7, using the NIOSH app, A weighted. Treated room on the main level of my home, open to the main living areas. With AC on it's around 32-33. Dog walking around with his jingly collar it's in the 40s.

I'll add that my normal listening levels are 65-72ish, 80-85 if I'm in another room.

I somehow think that it would be more realistic to include breathing as part of your noise floor
