So, today I downloaded all recordings . I must say I am stunned with this, but not in a positive way. I've seldom heard such terrible recordings. Not listened to all of them yet, but all LSO-Live recordings sound worse than my old Melodya LP's. Terribly dry, and really really flat. No "Live" ambiance, in fact, no ambiance at all. Something must have gone wrong here. I have a couple of LSO-Live cd's here that do a much better job.
Also, some 24bit flacs are not 24/48, but my bdp1 reads them as 44.1 recordings. A bit fishy this.
Some of the non-classical recordings do a lot better, but still are no real dealmaker for these offerings here. Amazing really. B&W are not the least company in the Audio-world, how come they think to promote their business this way is beyond my imagination.
Sorry, but I'm really disappointed here.
