Title: Xtremely Happy!!
Post by: vektro on 20 Dec 2003, 01:11 am
Just received my Extreme Monos. They're MONSTERS :o ! Even though I knew the measurements and the weight beforehand, I was still surprised. Felt like alot more than 65 lbs, when I had to lift them. Got mine with the purple faceplates. Really COOL!! :D  Amps are up and running and sound great. Can't wait to see how they are after breaking in. Going to have to get going on my Flexy stand to hold these bad boys. I still have a HT3 with the upgraded caps coming in a couple of weeks. Had that one done in the blue faceplate. Just going to get better then, with 5 channels of kick-ass Odyssey power!!

Thanks for the advice. Speakers are all RBH Signature Series. 1044se for l/r, 441se for surrounds and center, and a monster 1010sep powered sub. Really a well built and great sounding speaker using D'appolito design with aluminum drivers. Mine are black, but they are available in about 30 different veneers. Love to have the rosewood! Check em out at  http://www.rbhsound.com Preamp is a Denon 3803 I bought at 6th Ave Electronics brand new for $648.06 delivered!! Awesome deal. You may still get that deal, not sure Call and ask them. Even though I'm not using the amp section, it has all the latest surround formats and is pretty good for music, too. For the price I paid, it's great! Maybe one of these days I'll get a Tempest. Have to play with all my new toys first. Really glad I got the purple faceplates on the monos, and can't wait to see the blue on the HT3. Why just get the same old black or silver with all the choices Klaus has to offer. Live a little, be a little different. I'm the only guy I know who has purple amps!!
